If you joined the Adobe Typography Walk with Mutant during UsByNight you might’ve spotted these tote bags I designed.

The brief was “Belgian creative community,” which honestlywas bit a tricky one at first. When people think of Belgium, the clichés of beer, fries, waffles… pop up really quickly.

I felt there was something more meaningful to tap into, so I pictured a scene where hands are assembling the Atomium, Belgium’s most iconic landmark, as a metaphor for the Belgian creative community building things together. And because I wanted to nod to Belgium’s surrealist roots, I added a bit of strangeness inspired by painters like Magritte.
