Bakker Klaas & Studio Mario
In 2025 I collaborated with Birrd to help establish the illustrative character for Bakker Klaas & Studio Mario.
Located in the Wintercircus in Ghent, Bakker Klaas and Studio Mario share one space, one oven, and one love for sourdough. By day, Bakker Klaas is an open, artisanal bakery where bread is baked in full view. By night, the same place transforms into Studio Mario, serving wood-oven baked sourdough pizzas, wine, cocktails, and aperitifs.
The challenge was to design two distinct brand characters that feel clearly connected, each with its own characteristics, yet rooted in the same foundation.
